This 10 week course introduces students to the Python programming language. Python is one of the most widespread programming languages in the world and is widely used in industry and academic work. It is also an incredibly fun and versatile language. We want our students to leave this course knowing how to use Python as their own personal problem solving toolbox.

We developed a series of fun challenges to gradually introduce students to Python while constantly challenging their problem solving skills. Students will solve puzzles involving mars rovers, they will handle scientific data and make artwork all with Python.

Unlike many coding clubs we structure our course around challenges not memorisation. Our students pick up new parts of the language when they need them, that way they remember them.

Encouraging a have-a-go attitude is at the core of this course. That’s why we don’t hand out dull worksheets or teach from a whiteboard. Each student is free to move at their own pace through the challenges with our wonderful leaders guiding them at every step.
